Weekly events in the summer
There is always something going on... "Marktleben" every Tuesday in Lofer (a small weekly “beer garden”), Every Friday a concert by the village brass band in Lofer and every Sunday in St. Martin, Village Evening every Thursday in St. Martin, Village Evening every Wednesday in Unken, Open Air Cinema every Wednesday in Waidring. Weekly guided tours organized by the Tourism Office (e.g., Sunrise walk to Grubhörndl - the highest point on the Loferer Alm every Tuesday.

Weekly activities for kids
The Tourism Office organizes many weekly activities for kids, like "How the Indians lived", walking with torches through the Seisenberg Gorge or the Lamprechts cave, fun and games at the village evening, guided biking for kids in the Pump Track, rock-climbing lessons, canyoning, mountain carting, Forest Detective and Water Researcher Walks for kids every Thurdsday etc.
Special events in the summer
The Austrians like to celebrate! A special day is when the cows go up to the alpine meadows, the summer solstice, or when the cows come down from the alpine meadows, and so on! Mark a few dates:
- Stoabergmarsch: 24 h hike over the Mountain, Saturday around the 21st June
- Musical Alm: live music at all the restaurants on the Lofer Alm, end of June, end of July, end of August
- Healing days with TEH: herbal healing workshop, Last week in June
- Family Fest: best fun for kids, first Saturday in August
- Whitewater and SUP events (in May, June, September)
- Market Festival: traditional costume procession and beer-garden style festival, second weekend in August
- Summer Solstice the Saturday around 21st June: Live Music at several restaurants while the fires light up on the peaks
Special events in the Autumn
- Farmers Harvest opening ceremony and Farm Festival in Unken Last weekend in August
- Farmers Harvest Festival in Weißbach first Saturday in September
- Farmers Harvest Festival in Scheffsnoth Lofer first Sunday in September
- "Almabtrieb" (Cows Coming Down):
- Lofer: first weekend in September in the Morning from the Lofer Alm, Music and festivities at the Middle Station
- St.Martin first Sunday in September as of noon Music and festivities, games, culinary and tradition
- Unken: second weekend in September
- Musical Alm: live music at all the restaurants on the Lofer Alm, mid-september
- "Bladlfest": traditional cuisine festival in St. Martin, last weekend in September
- “Music and Game” at the Hochalm: first weekend in October
Weekly activities in the winter
- Ski show every Wednesday evening
- Organized family evening walk with lanterns
- Weekly organized snow-shoe trekking, easy walks, cave adventure, rock/ice climbing, curling

Special events in the winter
Snow and cold temperatures do not stop us from having events in the winter!
- The cutest Christmas Market ever (third Weekend in December) in Maria Kirchental,
- The Lent Market (on Lent Tuesday),
- Musical skiing event "Carven, Ziachn & Zithern" (mid-March).
